Below is a list of the 12 committee members email addresses on the Finance committee. They are having a hearing on HB 2947. This bill is an end run trying to impose their will on your rights.

In the subject line of your email. Make sure that you use the words Testimony, and OPPOSE HB2947.

Make sure that you include the Republicans! This is important as it will keep the numbers honest when reconciled with the Dems.

Make the email short and to the point! I would encourage you to close with a quote from our state's constitution,

Section 24. The Right To Bear Arms,
The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations
to organize, maintain or employ an armed body of men.

The text of the Washington State Constitution clarifies that it does not authorize individuals or corporations to organize, maintain, or employ an armed body of men. The text of the constitution does not discriminate between public or private corporations. It does not mention anything other than the general, corporation. All of the cities, I believe, in Washington state are municipal corporations. So none of the cities' armed police forces, that they organize, maintain, and employ are authorized by the state's constitution.

In the pdf form of the state's constitution that the state hosts on the web, there is an index. That index lists private armed bodies not authorized, yet that is not what the text states.

The best part is that the private armed security details of the privileged are not constitutionally protected. Now, if we had legal trolls of the caliber of those on the left, someone should be suing very aggressively to deny the gun banning elite of Washington their armed personal security.
