Nine years ago today I was shot by an insurgent with an RPG. It amazes me how fast time flies. It seems like yesterday that I was patrolling the Sunni Triangle in Iraq.

I'm glad you are here today and can celebrate that brother. It's funny how after a few deployments my birthday and other holidays aren't what I have marked on the calendar or celebrate. It's moments like those and the loss of friends that get me and my boys together.
