Rifle Scopes All Nightforce scopes have illuminated reticle?

I'm in the market for a 5.5-22 x 50 NXS or 5.5 x 56 NXS. The Nightforce website makes no mention of illuminated reticles, but every scope Midway offers has it.

There are a couple of used scopes for sale here, but the sellers didn't mention if the reticles were illuminated, so I'm trying to figure out if it's even possible to buy one without it.

So, is an illuminated reticle an option, or do they all have it?

All the NXS models are illuminated. I'm not sure about the benchrest models.

All NF scopes have illuminated reticles.

Ha yea seems evryone, including me, was curious bout this.

Not to thread jack, but what is the battery life like?
Is it easy to change battery?

it's simply to change the battery, just twist off the top of the parallax knob and it's easy to get to. i've been timing mine to see for sure what battery life is, i'll know more after hunting season. i'd say more than 1000 hours

I was told directly from NF that if it does not have illumination, its not a real Nightforce.

Another thing I like to do before I buy a USED NF is to call NF with the serial number and they can tell you how old the scope is an if it is a legit serial number. Easy piece of mind.

yep - all nightforces are illuminated... funny that it doesn't exactly say it on their website, you have to go into the library link and download the manual (.pdf file). I had to do that for mine since i got mine used too.
