Re: All Stainless Steel Trigger Unit?
Probably not but can't say for sure.
Practically live in the sea though, but on land too as long as there you're close to the sea and the air is salty corrosion is still a bitch.
Have some shotguns that have been exposed to salt water allot.
The corrosion is not bad though still.
Cerakote on all exposed metal parts, is a good start, as stainless steel corrodes quite badly too.
Never put the gun away if it has been exposed to salt water, clean it if used and pull a patch with some suiting oil through the barrel always.
I usually clean off all metal with a moist piece of cloth, to get away the salt, dry it off, let it hang for some hours to dry up properly and apply oil before i store them away.
The triggers i usually apply a type of crc to.
So if he takes the time to take care of his gun properly corrosion should not be a problem.
As for storage get something that's properly waterproof, a padded rifle case would be the best, been enough at sea to see how vibration and force from waves can affect bolts and screws etc.
