All that, an killed by a lawn mower

Seems to happen quite often, the things that should kill you don't and then you just have a small unfortunate accident and it's done.

I think that is because there is more respect for what you know will kill you, like back talking your dad or sleeping with your wife's sister. We get to complacent with things that "might just hurt us a little".

@Mwalex : Those words couldn't be more true man. Too many cases already of soldiers, police officers and firefighters who literally fought their way out from the jaws of death on duty only to be killed by something mundane like a broken ladder during home repairs or a vehicle crash. Sometimes, overconfidence leads to dangerous underestimation of just how potentially lethal some seemingly matter-of-fact things are, such as wall electrical outlets.
