That old Battle of the Bulge movie with Van somebody and a young Ricardo Montalban actually did a good job on the history and some of the tactical stuff.
 
I must say that after re-watching The Battle of the Bulge for the first time in decades...

I don't remember there being a desert in Belgium? Nor Yukka Plants. Also where the hell was Patton? And the 101st? Telly Savalas and gas drums? Really?

I remember really enjoying this movie as a teenager. Wow, it really has about no connection to reality.

But what a great Musical Number, with the SS Panzer troops doing their little dance up front. You can't do a 1960's epic without a musical number...

Damn... Being an historian ruins everything!
