Alpha AICS mags?

Re: Alpha AICS mags?

These mags ROCK!!!

There are a few posts in this section on them. Do a search and you should be able to get the info you need.

Re: Alpha AICS mags?

Im a huge Alpha Mag fan, Chris has put a ton of work into these mags and has done a great job.

He takes pride in his customer service and the quality of his mags.

As Nomad said, a search should provide the info you are looking for.

Re: Alpha AICS mags?

Can the type 2's be used with an unmodified receiver with rounds OAL at 2.80-2.85"? I have a load for my .260 that has an OAL of 2.870" but wont fit in 10rnd magazines. I had some AICS mags with the front plate removed that would not feed reliably. The recoil from the rifle would cause the rounds to slide forward and hang up under the feed ramp. Do the type 2's do anything to prevent this or should I stick with the Type 1's?

Re: Alpha AICS mags?

I just sent my stock to CDI for Jeff to install his bottom metal in my HS stock for my Rem 700. Both companies give L.E. and military discounts. I spoke to both Jeff at CDI and Chris at Alfa Mags. Both great people and I can't wait til I get my stock back. CDI also sells the Alfa mags. I was told that both companies worked together to produce high quality products.

I seriously doubt there will be a 5 rnd mag, and I talk to Chris a lot.

This mag is just slightly larger than a 5 rnd to begin with, so why make a 5 rnd? It might not even clear the mag well.

I didnt realize they were that close to the 5 rounders. Im not a fan of how long the AI 10 rounders are, thats why I was inquiring. But I may have to get one to see for myself...Thanks

Re: Alpha AICS mags?

Planning on getting a pair of these to try out after reading all of the reviews here.

I'm sure Alpha Manufacturing has already made the calculations but it would be interesting to see how many rounds they could fit into the volume of a traditional 5 round AICS magazine. It might be only an extra round or two to make an oddball round count, but it might be interesting to those seeking a slightly higher capacity, flush fitting magazine.

Re: Alpha AICS mags?

Hi, I just spoke called Chris (owner) at Alfa. He stated he has a sample of a flush fit mags and will send me one. Chris stated he could do a limited run on flush fit double stack mags, or may add it to his line up. He had a lot of interest at shot show. The mag will be around 2.75 inches holding 7 rounds. When I get it I will let you all know.
