I just shot some Eagle Eye ammo in 6.5CM that I bought primarily for the brass. After sizing my cases I measured the case length and all the cases were between 1.904" & 1.907". The minimum case length (i.e. trim length) for 6.5 CM is 1.910". Not terribly undersize but all of the cases were undersize. A little surprised but maybe I shouldn't be.

Shoot them. They will grow.

The SAAMI spec for case length is 1.920 - .020. So 1.900 would be the minimum, and 1.920 the maximum. There’s nothing wrong with this brass.

I did not look at SAAMI & should have. My Hornady reloading manual indicated 1.920 - 1.910. Never questioned the quality of Alpha brass & did not mean to have my post come off that way. Was just curious why it was 'under' when it actually was not.
