Anyone have one? Thoughts on the product(s)? Pics?

I am looking to acquire a couple of 10 round mags of AICS or compatible type and the feedback I have seen is mixed on C-products' alternative. I was curious about this one.

They indicate patent pending on their mag and bottom of the website but what is patented? Why is this any better than the standard AICS type offering?

That is JBW III's business venture. That is the company that makes the "morta mag". Same thing. Do a little search. Good stuff.

The Alpha mags are damn good stuff.
I love the TypeII for my 7-08 that prefers longer OAL rounds.
The only complaint I have about mine is that its lonely, I'll be grabbing another when I can.

Looking at the other thread on the subject, it seems that some of the former offerings had reliability issues that prompted folks to keep working with the manufacturer to make small changes.

The great thing here is that it looks like the folks who have had this one so far really like the updates.

Has anyone done much in the way of torturing one of these to see if some of the older issues (which appear to be unspecified in comments on the other thread) have truly been worked out and do not recur in the new design?

Also, looks like these will need to be refinished or repainted at minimum by the end user. That glare is nasty in the photos so far.

Both models are running well, I had Type I's that were shipped with the wrong springs and Chris (Buldog) swapped out quickly. I run a COAL of 2.92ish" on my 7-08 so I am going to swap to TypeII's for it. Like I said I have one TypeII right now and will be getting more.

I don't find myself in situations where the glare from a magazine will get me killed, so I don't sweat it.
If you play in such AO's I'd imagine you'd be dusting anything to eliminate shine (among other things).

Thanks for the insight on the former issues, it sounds like they are worth a try.

And I dont put my life on the line either, I just dont want to be running around after some coyote or something and spook the game with some flash off a mag. And definitely would paint them.

They look like a great offering.

I have beat the HELL out of mine, Over 1000 rounds in one of them, Lots of Hard miles on All of them..308 and .260 They are A +++ in my book running Tactical Matches. The Size dif over the AI's got me interested, the Reliability and Customer Service Sold me.
