ammo question for gasser

if you had to choose between 168 grain match or 175 grain match (factory ammo) for a 308 AR with a 18 inch barrel and 1-10 twist. I want to shoot out to @ 700 yards. not run and gun

This has been discussed many times. In fact, there's a lengthy topic on this very subject within this particular forum.

The 168 is king out to 600yds and from there the 175SMK rules.

I have to agree with Killshot, 168's for the closer targets, my AR10 shoots them better out to 600 yds, 175 after that...

i'd pick one load and stick with it. this 168 for <600 and 175 for >600 thing is getting ridiculous. 175's all day if the gun likes it.
