Does anyone have any hands-on with the revised AMP Mate that was released after December 19, 2019? I know there were a lot of issues with the earlier versions but in looking at their website it sounds like they have addressed most (many) of those issues. If you're using one of the newer version curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Very old thread...but. I've had pretty good luck with .223, 6.5cm, 308 and like cartridges....but once I wanted to automate my my 300PRC...I ran into some problems. I had to have the loading arm swing up much higher to get the arm angled to where the very long 300PRC case wasn't hanging up due to the case mouth too flat hitting the ejector and binding up. However, if I went too high up...the white plastic knobs underneath would bind as well...and keep the whole assembly horizontal instead of up where the ejector could eject it.

Took some smoothing out the shellholder as well. I got it dialed in finally....and now it will run pretty good without supervision while I'm doing other tasks. Here is a very short shaky cam view of it with the 300PRC.

I have an original one mounted on a giraud trimmer. It's been modified to fix all the original problems but this was a very easy process. Amp send me all the parts and explained how to do it. It runs like a champ now. It trimmed 300 cases for me the other night while I ate tea

Give me your process on mounting it to the Giraud....that is my next project. What tells it to cycle?...and how long to hold the brass down?

It's a very simple process. I made a platform the same hight as the giraud to sit behind it. Made a ring with an internal diameter the same size as the outside of the lock ring on the giraud and an outside diameter the same size as the found opening on the amp mate. I got some modified parts from amp to make it run better and they updated the the program to have a longer dwell time while it is running in demo mode

Oh....so you just built a base and got everything set at the correct height...then you put it in demo mode....and that runs it into the trimmer. I was wondering how you actually ran production...without the AMP telling it what to do.

Correct. It just runs in demo mode. Normal demo mode is only a 3 second dwell tho. Mine is 5 and I think I'm going to double it to 10 seconds. It's slower than doing it by hand but you have to put zero time into it. I'm going to set up my Dillon to drop cases straight into the case feeder on the giraud so I don't even have to transfer them by hand

Yea....I also will buy yet another Dillon case feeder....Magnum for my 300PRC....and let it feed as well.

You could get a 3d printed one and save most of your money. I have a dillon one and a 3d printed bullet feeder. I'll be going 3d printed case feeders from now on
