I have read non-specific statements here about Bruno's questionable CS, but thought I would share my experience for everyone's benefit. I ordered an item from them, and received the package about 6 weeks or so later (we are all used to that lately-no biggie). Opened the box, and they shipped me the wrong item. Did not match the shipping invoice in the box, either.

Still, I am not upset.

Sent an email after repeated failed attempts to get a hold of someone on the phone, they replied sorry, send it back and we will ship out the correct item. No return shipping label-they put that expense on me. So I have to make time to drive and pay to ship it back-and I will say that took me a couple weeks as I work away from home, but certainly much faster than their shipping.

Now, I am only slightly annoyed, as I have had other vendors make the same mistake and ship me the correct item with a box to return the wrong item. After all it was completely their fault.

So, after all that I get an email that says they sold the item I paid for almost 2 months ago-and sorry about my luck. I replied they had no business selling something that I already paid for and they can count on me not returning again. Now, 2 weeks after they got the wrong shit back they still have my money. I do believe this feels worse than a good old fashioned "Botaching".

Botach just gets you for the first purchase-these fuggers got me for that as well as $20 in fuel as well as $17 shipping to send the shit back.

But yes-triple word score please! It should at least count in words with friends!

They would be getting a copy of the shipping cost back to them. I have paid return shipping on a vendors mistake. But now you get nothing but a shipping cost, I'd be screamin

If you paid with a credit card dispute that shit and get a charge back. Let them deal with your credit card company. As long as your complaint is valid, they screwed up and did nothing to fix it the credit card company will side with you.

That sucks. I almost ordered some 8208 from them at their jacked up prices. Glad I didn't. Its funny because I hae ordered from botach more than once and not had a problem. I don't order from them anymore. But I have been Botached by a knife place and a clutch place. Bladeshop.com and clutchnet.com still have my money. I cancelled my orders with them and they both bullshitted me long enough that I couldn't dispute it through my cc. They still have my money.

If you paid by CC, they might be able to get the return shipping costs refunded. Also it costs the merchant $25 every time there is a legitimate complaint lodged.

You could always get 15 or so people to each order something then dispute the charges. Not only would the be stuck with $325 in penalties, they would get dropped and no other cc company would take them, then they'd really be on a pickle. I kid of course!...maybe

They suck you in with some prices, or other hard to find items at an affordable price (.338 Lapua brass by the piece) but shipping HURTS and if they don't have something in stock that hasn't been updated you don't find out til you open your box and find that's been removed from the invoice. Not the worst place I've dealt with, but I look elsewhere first. Also shows me the value in just saving up the $300 for the box of Lapua vs trying to get less at the "same" price.

Man I've only had one experience with them. About 2 months ago a guy I know from Berger said if I was looking for 105 Hybrids that's where he'd check. Sure enough the next day they got in a few hundred boxes. I ordered up 3200 of then. Their site said shipping was delayed 3-4 weeks. I called and talked to the daughter (I think) and told her I had a match coming up in a week, and asked if there was anything she could do. Sure enough they showed up in like 4 days. I was amazed. So my one experience has been great. However I can't say that what they did to you wasn't shitty.

That's unfortunate to hear, I used to buy supplies from Brunos on a fairly regular basis, their prices on Lapua were lower than elsewhere, that's until the madness hit and I noticed their prices skyrocketed. I guess they have forgotten that this is going to end someday and they are going to lose a lot of customers because of things like this.

I used to use Bruno when I first started shooting. Had good luck with them for years. Last time I ordered was two years ago. Price was a little high---maybe $3 or $5 ea over retail, but out of stock everywhere else. So I ordered. They wouldn't tell me upfront how much shipping was because they didn't "know". I got it USPS from them. Two boxes of 50 bullets they charged me $23 to ship. Funny, they fit in a $4.95 flat-rate box fine. In other words, they racked it $18 worth of profit by boxing it and dropping it off at the PO. Screw them and the high horse they rode in on. Haven't ordered from them since, nor will I. I don't even check them on my "rounds" anymore.

Yes, this!!!! Scumbums did the same to me when I ordered some primers at their jacked up prices a few months ago. Bad enough I got raped on the primers but to have them charge more than double what powder valley charged for a similar heavier box with 24lbs of powder (And I am in San Diego which is very cheap shipping from Phoenix! I know from other places in Phoenix I buy from). Fuck them. Cancelled the stuff they had back ordered for me and will never order from them again.

Also to the OP, I would never pay return shipping costs on an order the vendor screwed up on even if they say it is their policy. Go straight to your credit card company to stop the charges and tell the vendor to come get their stuff... No reason I should be out any cost for their mistake. If they don't want to pay return shipping tell them you will throw it away after your cc reimburses you.

I feel your pain. In these times, when you need powder or whatever, you need to get what you need, from whoever has it. I just remember who were the scabs and who was honest. Let's just hope that this situation will get back to normal sooner rather than later. J

I really just wanted what I ordered-I thought it was pretty poor practice on their part after all they are the ones that screwed up. I have no intentions of ever contacting Brunos again. Ever. I even considered not posting this here, but felt obligated to let everyone know the type of risk you take when dealing with this company. I count myself lucky, I could have been out a lot more money-I certainly spend considerable $$ on this "hobby". I will dispute the charges this week and move on with my business.

You should definitely post your horror stories here to keep others from the same fate. Keep in mind this from the same company that told people H1000 and other powders would become unavailable or expensive because a VV plant was shutting down.

I was in Brunos a while back, and when I asked about the price increase in primers and powder I was told they are "ordering from any supplier that has product in stock, and they have jacked the prices up on them." I was instantly overcome with the smell of bullshit.

I also had issues with them. I was sent the wrong barrel (wrong twist rate). When they finally replied to my multiple emails weeks later and only after I threatened to contact the BBB, I was told we don't even stock barrels in that twist rate (untrue) and requested pictures. After sending pics it took another 3 days for a response. She said the twist rate is not much different. I said either send me the barrel I ordered with a prepaid label to ship this one back, or refund my money and send a label and I'll get it from bugholes. They apologized, admitted guilt and asked me to send my shipping info. I sent it with a request to add 500 bullets (I paid for) to the order shipped free. They made it right and all is good, over 1 month later. This all happened before the craze.
