I currently have both a PVS-26 and a PVS-27 on hand. Performance is excellent in both, you can engage targets to 800m or so depending on how you illuminate them. The focus is a bit easier to manage on the 27, with the knob at the back and a bit closer that the focus ring system of the 26, other than that, it's a wash. Did you have some specific questions?
