Ok - so I’ve been reading through threads but haven’t seen this directly answered. Been searching for weeks for my first can. I’m starting with a 9mm can for primary use on a PCC and will also use it on 300BO subs and 350 legend.

I’ve narrowed down to I think three primary options but finding direct comparisons hasn’t been easy. Anyone have experience with these and can give insights?

    Priorities:
    1. Maximum sound suppression
    2. Covers 9mm, 300BO and 350 Legend
    3. Weight

    Current contenders:
    1. TBAC Fly 9
    2. Dead Air Mojave 9
    3. OCL Lithium

Would like to hear any experiences/thoughts on these, positive and negative.

Well look what FedEx dropped off this morning:

I just picked up a griffin bushwhacker 36 to use on a 9mm pcc. I wanted one you could take apart to clean bc I’ll be shooting hardcast through it. They also make a sportsman 36 which I think has slightly better sound suppression and is a welded baffle design so it’s lighter and cheaper than the one I got. Might be worth looking into.

You do you, but if it was me and I was looking for a can for SMGs and PCCs I'd be shopping for a larger SMG can. I have the FLY 9, Fly 45, Octane 45, PTR Vent 2, GSL Phoenix, B&T 9mm SD K can, and a Form 1 45 cal that is pretty identical to the Octane 45.

For a pistol can, the Fly 9 is my favorite can. For a PCC it's split between the Phoenix and Vent 2. The Phoenix is quiet as shit but it's like having a 2ltr coke bottle on the end of your gun. The Vent 2 is the quietest can I've shot on a pistol, but it's almost more a SMG can. It's a bit large for a pistol, but kinda thin for a PCC. I'm not a fan of the 1.5" x 8" 'tweeners because they seem like a compromise on both sides. The only thing that saves the Vent 2 from that judgement is how quiet it is.

Might be worth looking at the HuxWrx offerings. If you wanted straight pistol for 9mm and some of the rifles from time to time the Flow 9k TI wouldn’t be bad or if you wanted more versatility to use rifle rounds also then the Flow Range 36 would work.

    For PCC, go for volume.

For PCC and Subsonic Blackout, go for volume.

For a pistol...meh, they're all pretty decent and have very limited utility.

The Dead Air Wolfman, while old, is a very nice 9mm and subsonic 300 blackout can. I actually use mine on a supersonic 300 blackout and i'm pretty darned happy with it.

Do you want a sealed can or something that can be taken apart for cleaning? That will also further narrow the field.
