My buddy Frank and I headed out this morning to one of his buddies property to do some calling. After a short 15 min. hike we set up on a little ridge with lots of small drainage's all around us.
On our way we saw LOTS of sign all over the place so we had our hopes up.

I hit the call and in about 10 min. we have a double come in. I did not see them until the male was right on the call. At that point he heads out. I hit the pup in distress and it turns around about 125 yrds. across a drainage from me....I settle the cross hairs on him and...BOOM!......DOG DOWN. We never got a shot at the 2nd one. Look at the chompers on that dog...healthy younger one.

So them we head down the road a ways to a small section of BLM land that no one seems to know about. We make one stand and nodda.
We set up a 2nd stand and in about 5 min. we have this older female show up. Frank makes a good chest shot at 80-100 yrds....BOOM...another dog DOWN! Look out....Frank and his Tikka is dangerous!!

Overall a great 3 hour hunt with 3 dogs called and two dead.

Take care,Stan

Damn that's called wearin' em out.

Safe to say the call is workin well. Time for me to start saving up for one. Any ideas where I can find 1 for less than retail, $699

Re: And another good morning yote hunt!

Thanks guys.
Yeah...a e-call is the way to go IMHO. I never had much luck hand calling. ANd I am into yote hunting to shoot em. Not into the "art" of calling...call it cheat'in if you will but I go with what works.
Plus as you can see....I don't wear camo (the key is don't move). The yotes will walk right by me (have had them as close as 15' and never notice me) with all their attention on the call/decoy. It is fun to watch them. The last pair we got the male yote walked right up to the call and sniffed it! Last thing he ever smelled.

If I could have found the Prairie Blaster cheaper I would have jump on it...so I have no advice on finding one for less. And the $699.00 is just for the call. Then you have to buy batts., and charger, etc. I am into it for about $1k after buying really good rechargeable batts., a good conditioning charger, etc.

I have actually been taking it easy on the yotes around here. We have a coyote round up next month and I am saving all my honey holes for that.

Take care,Stan
