And back to the masks

@BytorJr I tested positive for antibodies the last time I gave blood, so apparently I had it at some time. I couldn't tell you when because I literally had no symptoms that I was aware of. I'm pushing 50 and not in the kind of shape I was 20 years ago, but I'm reasonably healthy with no chronic problems (yet) and a little overweight. I'm not a young super-healthy dude, just your average middle aged guy and I never even knew I had it.

Did they give you any idea of the number of people that died because you had it . . . and evidently were an asymptomatic carrier?

I think with everybody constantly using sanitizers, wipes etc. we are in fact reducing our immunity to "other than covid" viruses. We'll see a surge of other shit start killing people soon enough. Its been my understanding that we need to expose ourselves to this stuff so our bodies can learn to defend against the constantly evolving buggers.

Given the lack of evidence for asymptomatic transmission in WHO studies and the fact that I've been going to work this whole time and nobody there has gotten it, I'd estimate it at ZERO.

Respiratory viruses have been around for at least a few tens of thousands of years. We're pretty well adapted to dealing with these things as a species. If one was going to come along and wipe out humanity then it would have happened already. What is unique is the level of gaslighting and political malevolence in America these days. One study says one thing and other contradicts it, and the political factions decide which one they're going to push and then beat their war drums. My town is apparently full of jackbooted thugs in suits and blouses that are hell bent on making people conform to their hysterical diaster porn fantasy world view. It's disgusting and demoralizing.

If this had happened in the 50's we'd never even know what it was called.

Exactly how I see it. My earlier post mentioned that the alleged number of COVID cases and deaths are minuscule compared to any given prior year of flu cases and deaths. Look it up on CDC web.
This is an engineered political scheme and power grab by the Left. Beware and prep for the war.

It’s all part of the plan Demic as many doctors have already mentioned that exact thing

The problem I have with these mandates is that the whole mask effectiveness arguement is pseudoscience at best. There is nothing that definitively says that masks are effective against viral transmission. Furthermore there is nothing that proves that masks are even safe to use as far as the public is concerned.

A mask, especially the cloth type that I see around town is most likely filthy and constantly being touched and fiddled with. My hypothesis is they may well increase one's chance of becoming infected by having a vector for viral transmission directly on your face all day. The masks we use in healthcare are disposable and changed often, this is not what the public is doing.

All the med types I've heard/read fall into one of three groups:

- Masks work
- Masks don't work
- Maybe masks work

Odd that masks were unnecessary when there was a shortage. Now they are readily available and considered critical. Reminds me of deployments to sh!tholes with questionable water sources. We would be advised to not drink the water...until bottled water ran short. The water would then magically test potable.

Where does the CDC stand on masks this week?

Get off the Bear Pit, you're going to infect us all............ HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Seriously though, tell us "how bad" it was and if you had "pre-existing" conditions. Or are you some younger super healthy person? I've been waiting for somebody here that actually has had it that's willing to tell us if it was unbelievably bad, flu bad, stomach virus bad (just kill me), or I've been on an airplane and I've got the shit that you get on an airplane bad. Since you're the only person I've been in contact (even though it's an internet site), I'm interested. I do hope you don't relapse or is all the testing now over since you had one "negative" test?

Thanks.
Seriously, it was a non-event. I felt a little off (amazing huh) for a couple of days, then woke up with aches and pains like a flu. I monitored my temp and at one point it jumped up to a little over 100 for about 4 hours. Got tested the next day, it took a week to get the results back, I was positive.

If I compare my health to when I was in really good shape 30 years ago, I'd have to say I'm out of shape. I have hypertension that is treated with meds, I'm over 65, I've had cancer, I'd say I'm right on the edge of the at-risk group.

I'd rate this as a 1 or 2 on a scale of 10 with 10 being the worst illness I've ever had.

I say the vast majority of the covid narrative is flat out BS. I know people are dying and some are getting really sick, but hospitals have financial incentive to say it's covid, that's straight out data tampering.

So... back to the question. Do I need to wear a mask?

I have hypertension am diabetic and have several other medical problems that I take meds for and yet unless absolutely forced to I refuse to wear a mask it is mostly political BS and it’s just a test to see how far we can be controlled I find it particularly difficult to breathe with a mask plus all the germs you expel into the mask are inhaled again and concentrated and recirculated
But I have no kind of medical schooling at all so what do I know

I had it in early February. It was before it went rampant here in the US but I got it in San Francisco. Tested positive for antibodies in mid-May.

I am 59 and have no health issues as I keep pretty fit. It was certainly worse than any flu I ever had previously in terms of fever, coughing and aches and pains. I had a 103 fever for 4 days before going to the doctor. Lots of coughing. I finally went to the doctor (actually twice) and they confirmed a type of pneumonia in my left lung which wasn't there in the first visit 2 days prior. They gave me a z-pack and by Monday I was doing well. I never felt like I needed to go to the hospital.

It ran through my whole household though. My oldest daughter and my wife also developed pneumonia but responded to the same antibiotic. My youngest two had aches pains and fever for a couple of days but it passed without needing any antibiotics.

it does feel sort of strange remembering a few years ago you could get shot for wearing a mask into the store now it reversed you have to wear the mask to get into the store . It is the twilight zone

You sound like you are in the same physical condition as I am. Interesting.
Regarding masks, there is tons of info out there on mask effectiveness. Most masks do not stop virus particles and this virus is aerosolized, so it is particularly a pain in the ass to avoid.
The only masks that are really effective are not the ones the average person can or will wear. So the mask stories are just bullshit.
Keeping in mind that my military experience had me familiar with masks that protect from nerve agents and bio agents.
I do have such masks, but I would not wear one unless I knew I was going to be involved is a serious chem/bio/nuc environment.

I have heard heat signatures are as individual as faces. I'll bet they are way beyond facial recognition.

Once we know the nature of the beast, it will be easier to defeat. Full body heat signatures? They would have to be fully uninterrupted heat signatures as well for the sensor and database matching to work. A bit of metallic parts embedded in clothing in random places, like a few patches of Mylar or a bit of chain mail here and there will disrupt the blackbody radiation enough to render it useless to the AI sensors that are trying to match such a transmission to a database. Just like trying to send an digital file but some parts of the data code is missing. The file will arrive at it's destination as as 'corrupted file' and the system will go haywire trying to find a program that can open and view the file.

Technological 5th generation warfare is starting to become a lot like Battletech and Mech Commander... As long as you are able to obtain the blueprints and designs of the enemy mechs, you can build your own or design weapons to exploit the weaknesses in the enemy machines, providing you have access to the same or similar high tech infrastructure that the opponent has. In our world, even the ordinary civilian has access to portable high powered lasers, 3D printers, precision shop equipment, and electronics components. Knowledge of how to use these and build more advanced stuff from them however, will have to be learned. If a mountain villager in the Kyber Pass region of Pakistan without running water or electricity can build an AK-47 from scratch, imagine what WE can do with the tech at our disposal...

Exactly. People fuck with their masks all day. They never wash them. In short, all the germs they come in contact with all day, is on their mask, all day. I see people wearing their masks down below their nose and they act like theyre really doing gods work.
And unless EVERYBODY is using N95’s, and changing them regularly, this whole mask mandate is fucking worthless.
This is all fucking stupid.

I have worn a mask twice since The Apocalypse started.

The first time was with my wife at the hospital. She had "a procedure" and I had to drive her home from it. I thought about sitting in the van in the parking lot, but figured that would not go over very well with her . . . so I waited in the room with her. She took her mask off . . . and everybody was OK with that - of course, I could not take mine off.

The second time was today during a military funeral. The Flag presentation was inside the church. I had to wear a mask. The preacher and the soloist did NOT have to wear a mask . . . cuz, you know . . . it is not like they were doing a whole bunch of talking or singing. When we got outside, I took my mask off so the rifle squad could hear my commands. The rest of the guys in the squad were not wearing one - because it looked stupid - and we were outside - and the family and congregation was "way over there" (most wearing their masks). Oh well, just another "duty" to ensure a veteran received what he was due.

I suspect I will be required to wear a mask at the VA at the end of this month. They wanted to do a telephone consultation, but I could not get them to explain to me how I was going to go to the Lab for a blood draw over the phone.

There is one other place that wants my consultation services. They require a mask for admittance into the building, but will allow me to remove it when I get to the area needing the service. I suspect I will need to put the mask back on in order to leave the building. I have not got back to them, but when they ask again, I will inquire about the mask. If it is still a requirement, my comment will be that it sounds dangerous and I will just stay away. I will encourage them to contact me again, when it is safe.

Yes, it is going to be like that. They get to make the rules for their particular AO, but they have to live by my decision about their decision . . . and wait for whatever it was they wanted me to do.
I went and had the blood draw, then a week later they did the phone consult.

So with this "public health pandemic" and the phrasing the lawyer did in the video. How hard is it going to be once folks are conditioned to fulfill their civic duties of public "safety" and turn in their weapons and report your neighbors ? Because we all know that a leftist is absolutely planning this right now.

In a sense, yes. But I still use sanitizer after shopping at a local store or after pumping gas. I dont WANT to get sick, and Im not going to lick pump handles or door knobs to boost my immunity.

On vacation two weeks ago. Travelled the Atlantic coast to Hilton Head.

Most places more open than home.

No mask by me but all eating establishments we were in required staff to wear masks.

I felt more at risk with staff either trying to protect me or themselves.

The masks became the stimulus to keep fucking with their faces.

One particularly sweaty server on VA Beach kind of disturbed me.

In normal times I probably wouldnt have noticed his sweat soaked hair but he was wearing a paper type surgical mask that was sweat soaked and it just looked like he was suffering from runny nose.

He kept touching the thing.

As he brought me my sweaty tumbler of Rye I for a second thought this is gross with server guys sweat all over the glass.

Than I said "Who cares its tasty alcohol. Darwin will decide, Cheers!"

As the masks I see are 80% cloth feel good versions
seems strange to "qualify" these for entry.
Only a few weeks back a national debate/quorum was foisted on MSM 24/7
about the N95 masks.
I guess as long as the sheep feel safe than the goal has been achieved.

When I want to avoid the hassle I wear a "Dont Tread on Me" bandana.

SJW dont know what to do when they see it.

Latest news is masks for meds are running short again.

Will next direction be we need to lockdown to ensure they have PPE?

We also have OUR duty to Mother Gaia, by feeding her with a continuous supply of phosphate and carbon rich organic fertilizer...

Leftists murdered elderly citizens by deliberately flooding their care facilities with COVID-19. The day they want our guns is the day we raise the black flag and start killing scumbags with extreme prejudice.

Any laws passed by leftists have no power or jurisdiction in this country anymore due to the crimes that they have committed against the American people. They have lost their right to occupy the same seats and representation on the table of political discourse. It is just a waiting game now, for the spark to ignite the accelerant soaked tinder. And like the arrogant dumbfucks they are, they will provide that spark themselves...

Its funny, they ran up and down about the 1918 Flu epidemic when this started, and how we could use that info and not make the same mistakes. They seem to forget the part about the use of woefully inadequate masks they tried to force people to wear in some places. I will believe these masks do something if someone can show me a working mosquito cage made of chicken wire.

The bull shit has kept piling up until the smell is undeniable. "Make the lie big and tell it often."

I have a gray cloth mask that I wear when required to - which thanks to the jackboots and the city councilors will soon be all the time. I wrote on it with a sharpie marker "The Cult of the Mask" so all the Karens would know what I think of their authoritarian self-righteousness.

They'll try anything to maintain the power grab.

they sell an assortment of masks at walmart.
they even have a mirror so you can see what you look like before buying.
how fucking stupid is that?

It's become yet another virtue signal. Wear your mask like a good citizen. Be nice and compliant and we won't have to make you a statistic. I live in Oklahoma which is one of the least hard-hit places and the hysteria is still spreading faster than the virus.

First of all, glad you're okay. Hoping your symptoms are more common that the reported symptoms. I

I distinctly remember the sickest I've been as an adult. Caught something on airplane. Sat next to woman coming back from UAE. She was sick and told me so. 8 hours later I was under massive "stomach flu" but it wasn't just that. I was literally spewing from everything but my ears and nose. Fever wasn't bad the first day and had even cleared up by time was at doctors. 3 days later I was in ER with 104.2 fever. Dehydration is the killer.

Thanks for filling us in!!!

Just threw it out there, didn't want to change water flow direction of the river or nuthin

Was she hot?

Shiiit..... As soon as she told me that, I would have asked for her contact info and told her that if I got sick from her, the LEAST she can do as a decent person is to "nurse" me for the duration of my illness... Of course, she might say that her family, especially her male siblings, will not allow that to happen. And that is where I also mention that even if I am sick with projectile vomit flu, I would still be capable of pulverizing all 6 N-SSA clays on the 25 yard line within 6 seconds with a Colt Navy type revolver, WITHOUT fanning the thing, so unless her brothers are suicidal, they should leave us alone...

I’m a professional firefighter and paramedic. Since the beginning of the year, I’ve personally had around 200 patient contacts while in the paramedic role. Just one had a slight fever, and eventually tested negative.

I also teach fire service and emergency medical service classes as a part time job. I just finished teaching an EMT class last week and one of my students claimed a fever and was tested. He came back positive.

He’s in his mid twenties. After texting with him yesterday, he stated he had a cough, shortness of breath, body aches and felt like shit in general.

Of course the local health department has called me 3 times today alone to ask questions and suggest I quarantine for 14 days. I was never within less than 30 feet of the student so I’m not considering this an exposure and the health department was made aware of that fact.

Of course the city I work for has mandated masks for all employees. I don’t mind a mask for patient contacts and entering the hospital so not a huge deal for me, however most of me still believes this is all a huge social experiment. What do I know?
