And alongside these veteran soldiers, there are also veterans of the streets, who may have made some poor or hasty decisions in their lives at an earlier time and also have witnessed death and suffering first hand, and what it feels like when forced to do extreme things to other people or be killed if they are not fast enough, and have seen what abhorrent lengths people can resort to in order to keep a drug or gambling habit going... Those people are also out there in good numbers. And unlike the wannabe gangstas and thugs, they do not advertise that lifestyle because they are trying to put those demons behind them.
