6 minutes and better than anything Disney has manged to put together.

I always felt let down by the Kenobi confrontation; I know it wasn't meant to be a 'fight', but you always heard references to just how next level Vader was supposed to be and you never saw it really as far as individual skill in Ep 4-6. The originals always gave the impression he was big, slow and kind of clunky.

This showed him completely differently and they somehow managed to really show how he is powered by pure hatred. Motherfucker is fighting while he's on fire.

im still frying to figure out why all X wings and T fighters dont have turrets (never mind fire and forget, just same weapon system/tech)

why are they still pointing the spacecraft at the target

their in space with almost unlimited thrust, they dont have to worry about aerodynamics

And to add, all the X-Wings have an R2 unit in the back, and their 'dome' is the basis for a ball-turret right there. Arm the droids, and go-nuts!!!!

Pretty much because the heroes have to be a bunch of untrained bumbling idiots with no idea of tactics or stealth, that win against the best genetically advanced specially cloned soldiers in the galaxy, so it becomes a joke from the get go.....

Kind of like back in the original movie.... in the beginning old Ben says "see those blast points, only imperial storm troopers are that accurate" and then of course for the rest of the series they couldn't hit the side of a building.

And of course, SW canon has the Stormtroopers portrayed as a tyrannical entity so the shining suits of fancy armor are very likely used as a showpiece to intimidate and force compliance from the regions which they are assigned to govern. Just like the French knights of the Hundred Year's War. They were quite adept at keeping the peasants quelled from any thoughts of violent uprising but were pretty much helpless in the face of battle-hardened English archers.

The whole stormtrooper thing is just ridiculous. Here’s some armor that does absolutely nothing. But you still have to wear it, including a full helmet, at all times. How do they go piss or shit?
