What are some of the best apps that you came across that may help you in the field?

I currently have Reticle Ranger and Stelok balistic calc. Ive been looking for something that measures range like the Distance Measure for Iphone but I cant find anything.

Shooter
GPS Essentials (measures distance. haven't tried it yet)
Back Country Navigator (gps app that lets you pre-download topo maps. No signal required)

Re: Android Apps For Shooters???

I've been using the Strelok for months, as has another guy on our team with an Iphone. We only have a 650 yard range, but everything is dead nuts on that I've tried. Lots of cool features that I wouldn't have thought I'd ever use, but do now. Most is not something I'd use on a callout (can't see pulling out my phone and fiddling with it), but if you have time, it's a neat little range toy.

Also use a golf range finder called 'maps ruler' that is great for finding ranges if you are familiar with your area. GPS locates you, and you can tap on the building you're looking at, and viola, quick range e. Only use it for static things like buildings, edge of a field, woodline, etc. But it's always within 10 yards for me so far.

Very cool. I just found AndRange. Its a very good range finding app for Android. Its been +/- 5 yds so far out to 550. Ive been taking 2-3 readings each time and its dead nuts. I have a weather bug on my shooting page setup so i can get the barometric pressures for where im at and I have GetAltitude for my locations height to put into StreLok.

I'm using strelok. I put in all the known data and adjusted my MV to match real world results at 400. I have yet to test it out further to see the data continues to be good.
