New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I'm back and forth whether or not I want to install a muzzle brake. Obviously for a .17 HMR I would not need it for muzzle jump, but can I really expect improved accuracy with one?
Could go either way, often times you will notice a improvment in accuracy with a brake installed. For a .17 HMR, I wouldnt go thru the effort of having the barrel threaded after the fact, unless you inteded on threading for a can, just my .02

There's no issue with recoil. The rig's pretty heavy too. Just trying to squeeze every drop of accuracy out of it. Although, another benefit of moving here from NY is that a can is legal here. I'm assuming it's the same amout of work to install one.
I can break the rifle down to just the barrel and action myself in a few minutes. About how much should I expect to pay to have the barrel threaded?
