Are you of the opinion that welfare (a general term used to encompass many social programs) should be completely stopped?

I will not deign to answer for Maggot here. This is completely my definitions and opinions.
It is unfortunate that any government subsistence is loosely referred to as an "entitlement". This is partly mislabeling and partly truth, and you can blame the bearoc...burrocr....the fucking politicians.
They have raped social security, and rifled the coffers. They have destroyed it by design. It is an "entitlement". They have done the same with Medi"CARE", it's also an entitlement. Obamacare was designed to put the final nails in the coffin of Medicare. They didn't quite destroy it, so now they are screaming "Medicare for all". This has been their plan all along.
The money is not there anymore. If you have worked for 30 years, and paid in, that money IS your money.
The problem is, they have been raiding that money for decades, and using it as welfare, it's called SSI and medic"AID".
They aren't even sneaky about the robbery anymore. They depend on the right, shaming people like me into thinking "SSDI" is welfare.
They have taken the money I paid in, and squandered it on drug addicts and couch potatos that they will literally school on how to "get a check".
They have created an atmosphere in which it is nearly impossible for people like me, to do anything except work till the day I die.
I have a private pension, but I am technically to the point of being unable to work. I can retire tomorrow with full benefits, but will have no health care.
I can throw myself at the mercy of the SS office, and START begging them for my benefits. They may actually grant those benefits to me in 3-5 years, and after I am virtually destitute.
Meanwhile there's a drug addict just down the road with 4 bastard crotch fruit pulling down 35k in disposable income per year.
Medicaid=welfare
Housing=welfare
Erned income credit=welfare
EBT=welfare
Here is an idea. If you haven't paid in, or one of your parents haven't paid in if you are a minor child. Full benefits points.
No SS soup for you!
If you aren't part of a work program, or return to work program, and extensive drug testing and/or rehab.
No welfare soup for you!
Generally, application for SSDI is a game, in which they see if you will die before they have to pay up.
Certain demograohics go to the front of the line.
Even on a fast track, say they give you 6 months to live, you'll be lucky to get SSDI within that 6 months.
The system is broken. I personally don't know how to fix it, but it seems an easy task to cut out welfare to able bodies that are "holding out for a management position".
