Another reason to take care of business and then go on your way

It could be worse, at least he's still alive after the "hero cops" got done.

Unlike that hero that stopped a mass shooting only to be murdered by a cowardly "hero cop" that shot the real hero in the back and the rest of the department covered it up and tried to blame the murdered hero.

If this is the one I'm thinking of, you conveniently left out the part where the "hero" was indescribably stupid enough to pick up the assailant's rifle after he shot him.

The cops were rushing to the scene with reports of an active shooter armed with an AR-15.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The fewer interactions anyone has with cops, the better. In fact, the fewer cops I see, the better I feel. It's one of the reasons I moved away from that shit hole Northeast. Too many bored cops that wouldn't know real police work if it fell on them. But they are awesome at revenue generation, aka writing useless tickets.

Now I see a cop maybe once or twice a month on the road, no shit. And that is just the way I want and like it. I can take care of my own shit.

Typical behavior. All police officers are statists. It’s required. Those wearing the badge especially today are protecting and enforcing the will of tyrants. They have no problem putting a man like the one in the video at the mercy of corrupt weoponized prosecutors and judges. Luckily it worked out in the end for the man in the video. It doesn’t for many.

Do not call them. Do not associate with them. Never speak to them.

Haven't you been figuratively kicked in the balls here before for such blanket statements?
I have but it’s absolutely true and I will always spread the truth regardless of consequence. If a man’s job is to enforce laws set forth by government, are paid by the government you serve and ultimately enforce the will of a few to control all the rest, you are a statist. Don’t do these things and a man would lose his job. Simple as that. It’s a choice to work for a corrupt gov’t. An immoral one at that.

So you're for anarchy. Got it.

He should have shot him and it wouldn't have been an issue. Oh he wasn't carrying?

Only a moron would charge someone with a gun unless it was an imitate death situation or there was no way else out.

Hero complex. Classic case of everyone involved in an asshole.

Well I’m reading this one differently I guess- quick scan of the video the guy whom disarmed the wood be gunman wasn’t an emaciated drugged deranged tranny killing kids so that hero was very brave to stand up to him and arrest him for a brave selfless act, it was 2am so there probably wasn’t a bunch of elementary school kids parents to push around and the tanks used to close private clubs during WhuFlu got used so much it’s probably in the shop so he wasn’t on armored patrol.

If someone in brandishing a gun in a life threatening manner and you manage to disarm them, you are justified in shooting them with their own gun because you have fear that they may get the gun back from you and shoot you.

Not legal advice. Just sayin.....

Yeah... situation is FUBAR. Unfortunately, though, once you nullify the immediate lethal threat (the gun/assailant), you can't then turn around and "defend" yourself by "attacking" your attacker with their own weapon. If you disarm someone and they attempt to flee, and you go after them... even if you are in fear for your life... the law sees it differently. Glad the charges were dropped.

While the police can get away with shooting someone as they run away, on the normal citizen side, if they are beating feet away from you, you are best advised to let them get unless they are like kidnapping someone or there is some other active crime they are about to commit.
Continuing on after they are breaking contact and making off, is at best going to cost you a bunch of lawyer fees.
