Will the truing of the bolt face and action make the bolt a lot smoother and add to a tighter lock up? Will it take the slop out of the action? Or will only custom actions have that feeling
Truing gets the surfaces squared up. It doesn't make the bolt smoother.
You can polish the cocking cam surface to smooth it up a bit. Be careful.
There are two ways to remove slop from a bolt.
1. Ream the raceway and install a larger diameter bolt.
2. Bush the rear of the bolt to fit the tolerances of the rear bridge of the action.
