The police officers pulled up at the Florida home and immediately identified Christopher S. Langer, a 31-year-old Antifa member. Apparently he’d been arguing with his parents quite loudly, which is why the neighbors called in the complaint. So, naturally the police decided to investigate.

Now, I don't claim to know anything about anything that guy was up to, but I doubt the credibility of the claim that this fool could take out a neighborhood.

Hah, what? 75 rounds of rusty .40 cal? Use it or lose it, I guess? (the bomb squad)

What the fuck, though... I bet they just tossed it in a trash can, too.

It's mostly embarrassing that a Texas resident called the cops on a 'crate' of old ammo. Also embarrassing that they evacuated houses for that.

Jesus... They don't even evacuate neighborhoods when a house with ammo in it is on fire and the shits cooking off.

The crate was filled with at least 75 live rounds, Balcar said, adding that a bomb squad was called to the home to dispose of the ammunition.

Residents within a radius of 300 feet around the ammunition were evacuated, he said.

Oh no 75 rds, damn that is a stock pile. Has .40 caliber ammo been around for 40 years? 10mm Auto has only been around for 34 years, 40 S&W less than that.

Oh shit, you're right. I thought 1986 was a lot further back than 31 years, but that's about when .40 came to be.

I'm suspicious of the fact that maybe the reporter is a moron and it's really .45ACP they're talking about. Makes more sense for a salty WWII vet to have .45ACP than .40S&W.

"On Oct. 25, Langer's mother called 911 after she found him gasping for breath. A Volusia County deputy used a second dose of Narcan to revive Langer, after the first had little effect, according to the incident report"

I bet next time they show up when he is unconscious they just happen to be all out of Narcan and let nature run its course.

In an ideal world....

(While not mentioned) So at what point does the public dollar spigot get shut off to the 31 yr old man child, or to mom, or both?

Quite a luxury to be able to live in mommy's basement smoke H b/c your a pussy about needles, and make exploding piss bottles while receiving assistance.

The fact that he was using a Sponge Bob lunch bucket tells me he is cool with hurting kids.......

I would fucking hope so!!!

Must have been a really small crate to be filled with 75 rounds.

Based on the description of a crate and 75 rounds of 40 "caliber" , I'm thinking maybe some old 40mm rounds, which could warrant a cordon/evacuation. Having been on a Bomb Squad, we tried to handle things as low-key as possible. Big responses attracted bosses, and nothing gets better when you've got a bunch of bosses in the way.

As to the original article, more uneducated fear mongering by the media. A pipe bomb or other basic IED is a destructive device, not a fucking WMD. It's amazing how they refused to acknowledge Chem/Bio weapons in Iraq as WMD's, because it would have meant that Bush/Chaney had it right, but a pipe bomb now qualifies.

40mm rounds make sense. Would think 300 ft is not a safe distance for 75 40mm rounds. I guess there was an incident and it was taken care of, everything else in the article is "fake news".
