Any Alternative to the BORS?

I have a Nightforce 5-22x50 with zero stop on my GAP 7mm and am wanting to speed up my shots for competition. Aside from the BORS (which is incompatible with the zero stop scopes) are there any other integrated ballistic computers out there (in addition to the pocket pc's)?

+1 ^^^. Combine that with a ranging reticle ( for holds ) and you are GTG.

Re: Any Alternative to the BORS?

Making density altitude ballistic cards on JBM Ballistics costs nothing. Combined with a Kestrel 4000 or 4500, they are faster and more accurate than the Barrett BORS, and one hell of a lot cheaper.

You actually don't need the Kestrel, either. The pressure sensor in my Casio Pathfinder watch is as accurate as the Kestrel is, and a $5 zipper-pull thermometer is accurate enough. Print and laminate the two charts from Manual Calculation of Density Altitude.. Laminate those along with your DA firing table, and you're good to go anywhere in the world.

The BORS is an expensive solution looking for a problem, and there are better solutions available at a fraction of the cost.

Yep. And range cards don't need batteries. I carry laminated cards on a ring, each card for 10 degree farenheit temp difference. A lot quicker than punching in on a BORS. I agree about the expensive solution looking for a problem.
