Suppressors Any experience with O.S.S. Suppressors?

I played with one at Rifles Only at the Bushnell Brawl, and talked in depth with Johnny P. about the design and mission of the can. Long story short, it's definitely innovative and well designed. No gas blowback at all, which surprised the hell out of me, and the design of the can radiates heat differently. It's not as quiet as some, but on the list of "must haves" for the application of this can, that is pretty low on the totem pole for a multitude of reasons. The modularity of the can is superb.

It's definitely on my short list, and Johnny is a hell of a guy.

I would stay away from that design. To many parts that are being screwed on and off. I had the chance to check them out at a shop that was fitting them to rifles owned by a government entity and I was not impressed.
No two suppressors were built the same. Their internals in which the barrel threads to were all a bit different. Not to mention the different stages that you can thread on to them to make them "more quiet". You are asking for trouble when they all start to unthread.
Who wants a carbine can that is as long as the barrel? Not me.

Just my two cents.

Did you shoot one?

Couldn't.... the suppressors would not fit the guns do to the varying dimensions of the attachment point. Its basically a metal tube with poor machining done to it, random slots cut into it that would thread down into the tube. Then you thread on the baffled portions as to "how quiet you want the can".

You want a badass, QD can that works without question? Go look at the Mack Bros MB300. That is a work of art!

Yes, they are the real deal. I know Johnny back from when he was in 3rd Group. I've had a chance to check out their product and I'm impressed with some of the features that will undoubtedly only appeal to those in the military. Those features aside, the ability to have OSS build the can to your specific application is something I haven't seen offered by other mfgrs. The self tightening system removes the worry of anything coming unscrewed due to use as was insinuated in a post above. The multi caliber use is also a plus in my book. I didn't do anything remotely scientific to come to my conclusion but the db level did seem lower than what I'm used to hearing out of the issued knights cans. Their website lists the db levels as well as explains their product better than I have done here, so it is worth reading.
