I just bought this rifle, its a 308, and has a 18" 5-R barrel. I was wondering where to start with loads. Hmmmm, so many choices....I have 175SMKs, LC brass and most powders. Any help would be appreciated!

I have been getting my best results from N550 (43-44 grains) and RL17 @ same
175gr SMKs, 2.810-2.815 COL - good groups.
I've run IMR4064 and AA2230 through it but they won't group fer shizzle.
Gun is DPMS LR308, 1:10, 18" bbl
Disclaimer: i am not a marksman, so when i say good groups it means under 1moa at 100-300 yards, but not consistently.
Last four shots taken were 100yds, N550 w/ 175SMKs, [email protected] gr, 2@ 43.5 gr. Both sets left of bull by 2" but each pair of holes was 1/2" apart.
