Night Vision Any ICT PVS-14RC user Feedback/Recommendations

Is there anyone here who has used the PVS-14RC and can provide any feedback? These look really nice, but are they worth the extra roughly $1,000 over other high-end PVS-14 units, especially if you don't plan on weapons mounting very often?

Any info. is greatly appreciated.

I have a good hand select normal PVS-14 that I use helmet mounted and a hand select PVS-14RC that I use both hand held and weapons mounted. Weapons mounted on both 6.8 and 308 platforms. The RC is warrantied for the 6.8 and 308 while the other is not. The RC does give me a brighter and clearer picture, and since I keep a D-lock on it at all times I can weapons mount it instantly.

I had the same question you did about the extra money and I decided to see for myself. I am very satisfied with the product. My helmet mounted PVS-14 is used primarily on a helmet for driving.

I bought all my NV gear and thermal from Hunter and Camille at

and have been more than satisfied with customer service and price. I bought the RC because I plan on using it extensively on a REPR and wanted to be covered by the warranty. Am glad I did but is it worth the extra money if you are NOT going to weapons mount it-sorta your financial call!!
