Any issues taking NV into Canada

I go to Canada every year for a week fishing and while out on the range with my NV scope this evening I got to thinking that it might be interesting to have during my trip up there. We usually see fresh bear and moose tracks in the sand along the lake and I might be able to catch a glimpse of them if I had a NV scope up there with me.

Anyone know if it is legal to do so?

Uh, first thing I would look at, is what would be legal to take out of the U.S. From what I understand, they (State Department) are quite sticky regarding this.

Secondly, I do believe that "night vision" in general is legal here in Canada, as there are some items for sale to the expressly rich. (High price tags) Now to what level/degree/strength, I'm sorry, I cannot help you at this time.

Doesn't mean I don't want to. By all means, stop by, show your wares... share them.... sorta kinda forget them here..... I'll remember you on my Christmas Card list. (Just gotta remember to start one)

Seriously though, all joking aside I would first be concerned with what you can actually take out of the country. To follow up with that though, I'll do some checking for you tomorrow.

Cool?

It's really not worth spending the time to research it so I'll just adhere to the advice here.

Thanks guys, we'll just have to keep on using tracks to see what's been close to the cabin.
