Rifle Scopes Any lefties running a illuminated SB 5-25 or 4-16?

Re: Any lefties running a illuminated SB 5-25 or 4-16?

Ive never seen a Hensoldt, talked to anyone that used them... i did read the review by lowlight and watched the video... not sure which direction to proceed at this point.

There have not been a lot of them used in the states as far as I can tell because they just recently became available for import.

Any one know how their failure rate is or their durability...?

I really liked the Gen 2 XR Ret in my Premiers, I have a email in to see if there are other rets available... one of the link pages said you could have a user supplied ret...

I may use the funds from my two premier 3-15s sales to get a 5-25 Premier and put the rest towards paying of a CC.

either way my rifles wont be here for a few more weeks... so I have some time to decide

here is a video of LL torturing the Hensoldt, as for the 5-25 premiers they are only offering the Gen 2 XR reticle right now, sometime end of this year they will be offering the Horus reticle in them, but its an 800 dollar addition to an increased price. THey will also retrofit the reticle into your scope but thats a 400 charge

Thanks for the video. I have no interest in any horus Ret.

Glad you asked! No failures, mechanical or otherwise, have been reported to date for scopes that I have brought in.

The SSG-P has seen service for many years with the G22 and now the 6-24x72mm with the DSR-1 and the Bundeswehr's version of the Barrett M107.

Take note of all the old 4x scopes that are still servicable and binoculars from the 50's (some a lot older) still on ebay.

Hensoldt (Now Carl Zeiss Optronics) has been around since 1848 and has a long proven record for quality and reliability.

I hope that helps.

One time I heard of these guys to LOL. I can only say good things about them but yes you need a .5mil based reticle something like that, oh never mind you know the one I was thinking of, ha ha......

Gen 2 XR Modifited... .1mil dot center, Ret starts .25 mils off the center in each direction... the mil indicators are .1 thick x .25 tall/wide with .1mil spacing, allows you to break a target down in the vertical and horizontal... and when you zoom out the theory is that the reticle becomes more of a traditional + setup ...

Re: Any lefties running a illuminated SB 5-25 or 4-16?

Not exactly what you are asking.
I have a 3-12 PMII Illuminated on a Sako 308 LH Bolt action.
T had to get the bolt knob turned to accommodate the S&B a bit of surprise at the time.
It was about 1/2" in the way.
Hope this helps

im thinking its going to be a no go... my borden alpine actions come with a straight handle and with a KMW bolt knob its going to be bad...

Thanks a lot for the picture ! Helped a ton...
