Any one from the Savannah, Ga area?

Im getting stationed at Fort Stewart here in about 5 weeks or so and have no clue what there is out there.... I am married and have a 2 year old and another on the way... is it a good family area? I know all cities have their good and bad areas.. any areas i need to stay away from? any help will be nice.. thanks in advance...

there are a few folks in that area that are members here. look up sawgunner and tuna921. both are great folks to shoot with and know in general.

Only visited, didn't live, and my general impression of the town was that it was a bit wild and wooly underneath its air of gentility.
