I am looking in to getting a threaded barrel for my TRP. I know 1911's are pretty finicky with suppressors. So my question is what barrel did you use and how much work did it take to get it running 100%. I also realize I most likely have to raise my sights.

Suppressor is an AAC Ti-RANT

Well I don't have the TRP, but I do have the next step down (MC Operator). I went with a Storm Lake Barrel and the Silencerco Osprey. Everything dropped in like a charm and ran 100%. Only complaint is I get powder back in the face more than I have on any other suppressor (of the other 4 I own). I have a buddy with the Sig Tac Ops and he has the same problem, but it might just be the suppressor design.

Sorry picture isn't very good (cell phone in shooting range).

You can install tall sights or "shoot through" the to of the suppressor depending on what you purchase. You will ALWAYS get suppressed "feedback" from handguns in the form of powder and residue. Shooting suppressed + dirty...that's part of the game...but a small inconvenience for the outcome!

Yea but I've never gotten that much before on a pistol. On multiple platforms and all brands of suppressors. The only other comparable instance was running a 9mm can on a Bushmaster 9mm AR.
