    Search didn't gen anything up. Any owner/shooter feedback on their factory rifles? I have quite a few of their barrels in my semi-autos. I see prefit barrels available for the elevation/elevation MTR models and with the current prices it would be difficult to build a rifle equivalent to their factory offering.

    Look at all the threads of a Zermatt Origin and Proof barrel. It's the same thing. The only thing you can't buy off the shelf is the stock. You can build a replica of that rifle for less money but it won't have the Proof rollmark on the side.

    Got it. There are some dealers blowing out the MTRs at $2,700 so I'm not sure I can build a rifle for that.

    Interesting. I was at a shoot recently and an MTR was hanging with a Gunwerks NEXUS. I thought my Waypoint 2020 was more of an..."entry rifle". I'm after a back country stalking rifle...not a boat anchor...so trying to narrow things down.

    I bought a 223 and shot it a few times, intended trainer gun; very accurate, light weight, handy. A little pricey but i don't regret it. All parts are quality, and when you get it, you know it will work... I will likely sell mine, to help funds go towards another AI.

    I also own an MTR chambered in 7mm prc and I think it is a great value for what you are getting. Mine shoots sub MOA with the 170 gr terminal ascent, the 175 ELDX, and a 162 gr hammer hunter load from Aria ballistics. It has a good action, a great trigger and barrel, and I really like the stock. Mine has a 24 inch barrel which I think is kind of the sweet spot for the 7 PRC, it's long enough to where you still get really good velocity, but short enough to where it's not obnoxious with my 6 inch suppressor. If you're still thinking about it, I would pull the trigger. I think it's well worth the price.

    I seen a black MTR in 6.5 prc and a camo like Mtr in 7prc. Both are roughly $3k. No adjustable cheek riser. I have a 7prc bergara wilderness in a Masterpiece Arms chassis with internal and external weights. Recoil almost feels like 6.5 creedmoor now.

    In this case do you guys think the 6.5prc would be the better buy or not really? Any input would be helpful. I shoot prone and from the bench. Honestly I really like the esthetics of the black one

    I see this is an old tread but it looks like people are still replying from time to time so maybe this helps;

    MTR 223 @ 100 yards shot by my wife. The rifle delivered without doubt. (see pictures)

    I liked the stock but no chassis or Alu bedding block, just a direct mount action into carbon fiber. I dont know if that would work ok for larger calibers, it very well could be no problem. It worked perfect for the 223. I did make a cheekriser from kydex and velcro'd it on there. It needed it. It certainly is light @ 25 oz. The forend has a weird round bottom. JP Enterprise makes an ARCA rail that fits perfect.

    The action is a Zermatt Origin. Its nice but won't blow your mind. Its their entry level action. Zermatt's CS is amazing and if you ever have an issue, they will help you.

    Trigger is Single stage Trigger Tech Field trigger. Its good but wont blow your mind either.

    I bought my wife's MTR very lightly used for considerably less then $2700 and it made it a great value at $2150.

    I sold it, parted it out, so I took a lot of pictures. I will upload them so you can have a look for yourself.
