Both are great companies and both Jeff and Glenn are active on the hide.
Just saying, Keithr41 </div></div>

I would also like some feedback on the Seekins.

Glen's DBM is laid out well and less ghastly protrusion.

Yeah and when you need to hit it fast at a match you won't miss it. I have never had it get in the way and catch on anything. I like the design. </div></div> </div></div>

Much humored, that round count so upsets you. Controlled environments are a far cry from Real World and I reckon if you scratched a rifle you'd cry alligator tears. Keep the pole vault latch on frilly Play Toys and in it's velvet lined case.

Best place for it.

NOBODY?

Re: Any reason *not* to go with Badger DBM?

A little cookie for Kalifornians thinking that feeding a Squirrel in the park and prancing around with a pole vault maglatch is doing something.

Pardon the poor light at 2:30AM,but it's all I had to work with.

Re: Any reason *not* to go with Badger DBM?

rwest, I see Randy's design as more of an option available to the masses, which is always welcomed. For people that have had problems with the protruding latch, get the R&D, APA, Surgeon or Seekins DBM. For others who have no problems whatsoever with the long latch, get the Badger, or CDI. Great thing about this is you can customize to your needs or wants.

Nothing wrong with that...

Still writing on the boy's shoulder with a sharpie?

"Top it"

My all time favorite. You should share that once again...

As usual speaking of what you don't know and making assumptions. Just because we don't throw our rifles around like an idiot doesn't mean we don't use them hard. My match rifles are beat up, chipped and used in heavy rains, cold and mud, dirt and dust over hundreds of rounds in a couple of days. Never any problems with the Badger system.

Bye.

Re: Any reason *not* to go with Badger DBM?

Interestingly the USMC went to to the Badger on the M40 I wonder what world they operate in, certainly couldn't be the described real world.

As well the AI also uses the latch, it's the difference between a fine and gross motor skill. Not to mention, as one who lives in a cold environment, you would think the advantage of being able to release a magazine with a heavily gloved or even Mittened hand would be apparent.

Re: Any reason *not* to go with Badger DBM?

This is some funny stuff.... If you've ever seen Rob01 shoot, you'd know he doesn't baby his equipment. If he hasn't had a problem with a piece of hardware, most of us will not either.

And BB, maybe you should finally call GAP or R&D or another reputable smith?? Just a thought...

Re: Any reason *not* to go with Badger DBM?

I am really comfortable with my AICS mag release(Similar to Badger), as this is what I have used more often than not. So when presented with the opportunity to handle the Surgeon when deciding which to use on my .260 build, I went with the Badger as I wanted to use what I had conditioned myself to use already. Keep my systems similar. But I really enjoyed the thought behind the engineering of the Surgeon release. I have small hands and still had no issues releasing the Mag. Both are great, but whichever you choose, try to stick with one. Simple is the key. Good luck with your decision.

TR is not allowed to be discussed on this site...

They have threatened this site with Lawsuit and no discussion of their product or service is allowed as we are not going to "filter" people's opinions for them.

Re: Any reason *not* to go with Badger DBM?

The TR post will most likely get deleted....

But seriously, how many people have broken their Badgers? So the need for a bigger and thicker bottom metal is not needed IMO as it does not brake. You have a lever and a spring as the only moving part. Not much to it.
