Going to put a longer barrel on my rifle, I’ll need a muzzle brake but I want to minimize the length.
This thing looks like the way to go.

Anyone have any experience?

Also about muzzle brakes in general; if your caliber isn’t represented how much performance loss will occur when you are forced to go a size up?

I run one on my GAP PPR in 6 creed. Been happy with it so far. Depends on what caliber you are shooting. Would not want one on my .338 LM.

The first port matters the most, with something like 50% less effect for each subsequent port (1 unit recoil reduction from 1 port, 1.5 from 2 ports, 1.75 from 3 ports, etc.). With my long barrels I like folding and removable stocks.

There is technically a measurable difference in performance for jumping up a size, but your shoulder won’t notice.

Awesome, thanks guys.

I’ll probably get it.
For a bit more clarity, what I meant was:

You get ~half of the total effectiveness from the first port. Your shoulder will absolutely feel the difference between 1/2/3 mostly-identical ports; unless it’s a big magnum, 4/5 probably isn’t too different.

Your shoulder will not feel the difference between a brake bored for 6.5mm and a brake bored for 338 when shooting 6.5mm.

Yeah this is going on a 7mm, I don’t need loads of performance, just a little less would take it back into my comfort zone. Currently it has no brake and I’ve been surviving. I think it’ll work fine.
