Suppressors Any Suppressor Factory Reps on here???

What suppressors are the best for 1911's in 9mm and 45acp?
I am going to add a suppressor line to my 1911's and I was wanting to talk to a few factory reps if any is on here? I do not want to sell suppressors, I just will be making the handguns they go on. Who ever I use will be listed with my handguns as -- Guarenteed to work with "XXXXX" suppressors. I want to use the best?? If you are a factory rep you can also IM me or call 573-581-2146 I also would also like everyone's input on wich one they use and why they like it better that the other brand??? Thanks!!! Jason

Re: Any Suppressor Factory Reps on here???

Easily one of the most popular pistol suppressor lines right now is the SilencerCo Osprey in both 9mm and .45ACP. I would definitely be interested in a custom 1911 host that would run my Osprey.

Re: Any Suppressor Factory Reps on here???

I put my Osprey 45 on my Nighthawk 1911 and it wouldnt run very well. I went back to my YHM Cobra and it ran like a top. So, while the Osprey is a nice can.... it wont run on everything.

You have a lot of options for a good pistol suppressor. Are you buying one or two cans?

Re: Any Suppressor Factory Reps on here???

I think AAC has a pretty good product in the Tirant .45. The bore tolerances are a little on the tighter side, so obviously a properly threaded barrel is important, but the can is probably the best .45 suppressor in the world right now.

Re: Any Suppressor Factory Reps on here???

I called ACC to talk to someone yesterday. I spent 30 min on hold, then when it finaly picked up it was a answering machine that said the mailbox was full. I was a little mad. I emailed them, no responce. I called Silencer Co and got to speek with someone right away. They seem interested? I will have to talk to them more!!

I cannot comment on what was wrong, but what I can comment on is that if he had called SilencerCo I'm sure they would have figured out a solution and got it working properly for him. Their customer service is among the best in the industry.

I run an Osprey on my 1911 and I can't be happier with it. Would be interested in what was causing the problems with the Nighthawk.

Yep. Silencerco has great service and the products are also very much "top tier".

The TiRant and the Osprey are the top .45 cans hands down. The Osprey can have a bit more noticeable back pressure on some hosts but not bad. Some folks love the eccentric design of the Osprey and some guys want a more traditional looking round suppressor. On many host weapons the Osprey will be just below the sight line so guys wanting to use factory sights have a better chance with the Osprey than they do the TiRant.

There was no need to call SilencerCO when all I needed to do was switch the suppressors to a different platform. Some of you guys that get a product and it makes one little error go to calling and freaking out need to relax. There is always a solution, if you find out that its out of your means of repair, make the call and send it in. I don't like to send my stuff off if I can help it. I try to resolve the problem first.

Crisis averted.

hes not on here but rob at liberty will fill you in on the miranda. it was specifically designed to go on a 1911 vs a can like the osprey that was designed to go on a hk/fn

his contact info is [email protected] 610-944-1992 i have a couple of their cans pending and hes always been great to deal with.

Re: Any Suppressor Factory Reps on here???

+1 for the osprey.. Run it on my 1911 and glock. There is little bad to say about it. It fits and runs great on everything I have put it on. I like the unique approach and fit up of the osprey. If you want a standard style suppressor the Tirant can't be beat. Except AAC just announced the Tirant-S seties of smaller suppressor that kick ass. Check em out but you won't be disappointed with either choice.

But what if you have one can and/or one pistol? When my Osprey clears form 4 I only have two handguns I'll be running it on. If something is not right I'll be giving SilencerCo a call.
