Any thought on Athlon Cronus spotting scope

If you mean:

Then yes it can. Limited choices for spotting scopes with a reticle without paying silly money. I’m happy with the performance vs the value of the scope.

Doug @ cameraland should look after you.

A reticle in a spotting scope is most useful for providing actual mrad corrections to a shooter. If the reticle has range calculation crosshairs they can be used for range estimation, however I prefer to use an LRF for that.

I have a Vortex Razor HD 20-60x85 spotting scope with the 30x fixed wide angle reticle eyepiece. I always use the 30X eyepiece when at the range and it is quite effective to spot impacts/misses on steel out to the maximum range length of 1200 yds.

Edit to add: I am a big fan of Athlon optics. I have not tried their spotting scopes, but I have 6 of their rifle scopes.

Thank you for such useful info. Probably go to Vortex Razor HD 20-60x85 if there is a green color one. There official website only has 22x eyepiece. Hope there will be good Christmas deals from vortex
