I'm getting my gun back from the smiths this week and want to begin load development. I'm going to be running a Bartlein 8.5 twist 5R 30" barrel. I have some 140 AMAX and also Berger 140 VLD's which is what I'm hoping to make work. I am also going to get some Lapua 140 Scenars depending on how the Bergers work. I will mainly be shooting this at 600 and 1000yds. I know IMR4350 or H4350 is what most guys start at but I'm thinking I will need to go with a slower powder with the long tube, but I also see these powders working with 28" barrels. Just wondering if anybody else is reloading for this length.
Anybody running a 30" barrel on 6.5 Creedmoor?

If you find you have more powder capacity in the case to work with then give H4831sc a try as well. It's slower than H4350 and it's an excellent powder.

Thanks Rob, I saw you comment in another post, you were the person I saw running the 28" that I reffered to. Thanks for the help, I think I'm gonna start out with H4350 and see how it goes.
