I see this advertised as a scope leveling tool. Don't seem to be significantly easier than the feeler gauge message lowlight posted, but I was curious if anyone has used them and who makes them.

Appears to be a three piece set.

Any cheap imported adjustable parallel should work for this purpose. You don't need to break the bank for one made by Starrett, Mitutoyo, or Brown & Sharpe. Get a single unit, and not a set, from Enco or a similar company.

They do seem like they would be easier to use than the feeler gauge method, but if you already have a set of feeler gauges, I dont see a reason to spend money on them IMHO.

Re: Anybody used this leveling tool? Who makes it?

Do they slide apart as the rings are tightened down??

The only reason I ask is because sometimes when mounting a scope with the feeler gauges, I end up having maybe 1 too many in there and once torqued it can leave marks on the bottom of the scope. Not really a big deal but just checking. This sounds like a good idea.

Re: Anybody used this leveling tool? Who makes it?

Thought about doing this some time ago after endless dinking around with feeler guages but can't find any that'll adjust below 3/8" - anybody ever seen any? Checked Enco and MSC w/o any luck.

I belive the adjustment range for the smallest one in the kit I linked to above is 1/8" to 3/8" so it should work just fine.

Re: Anybody used this leveling tool? Who makes it?

I ordered a set for $50.00 this past Monday. I have not received them yet. I am new to the Sniper’s Hide forums but as I read the rules, I am not supposed to post commercial information. Do I have that correct? If anyone is interested where to purchase the set TDH referenced please send a PM to me, and I will provide the contact information.
