Rifle Scopes anyone able to point me to mil dot book?

is there a book that explains how to use the mil dot scope for logn range shooting? silly question prob with all the guys here but i dont have a clue how to use it. understand there every effective would like to learn how they work and be able to use one on a rem 308 thanks

Target size in inches x 25.5(for meters) or 27.7 (for yards)Divided by size in Mils = range.
