Probably Temple Gun Club would be your best bet, there is a place called Webber's a littler further north. I've never been to either personally.

I heard that most of the isotopes are rapidly approaching their half-life and that they know who at least one of the serial killers are. Oh and there’s going to be a lot of jobs available at the super fund site.

All my family is in Texas (brother in LaPorte, one sis in Georgetown and another in DFW area and a couple nephews and nieces in the Woodlands). We were down in Belton/Temple last December looking at houses and property and really like the area around the South side of the lake it's more out in the country which is what we want. Will definitely stay out of Temple and Killeen. Been wanting to move to Texas for a long time and this state is fast going the way of Califuckedup. Oh, and TxLabRat, I can handle the isotope thing, I used to work at the Hanford nuclear reservation building reactor fuel cores so I'm immune
I worked at webers for years through highschool, its ok. Temple gun club is a great place, but there will be a wait to become a member. Liberty hill an hour or so south has a 1k range thats pretty damn fun.

Live in Austin. Quite a few ranges around. But Best of The West is really the only long distance range. Lots of good club matches if your willing to drive.

You are right about the property taxes being sky high & getting worse.
I have to go in later this month for my now yearly tax protest hearing.
But it's not "Public Safety" that you pay for with the high taxes, it's the XXX!!XXX school districts.
I'm looking at $600 to the city compared to $3200 to the XX!!XXX school district.
I am paying about 14 k property tax on a 500k house, 3 times more than I paid in Fla 4 years ago, schools equally shitty. Texas is near bottom for tax and freedom index in the USA, the repubs ere are all former democrats except Ted Cruz.
Yeah, I know about the property taxes but we have pretty high ones here in WA, also 10% sales tax, and the second highest gas tax in the country. About the only good thing is, like TX we have no income tax....yet. What are the gun classes you speak of?
Somebody has to pay for the massive highschool football stadiums that are bigger than some college's stadiums.
the gun class are a 10 hour class you have to take, then you have to go get printed and pictured then wait 8 weeks, the class costs 100 and the picture and prints are about 20 or 30 bucks, the half day off from work is a pain in the ass, the state fees here rival NY state.
If your talking CHL the prices came down. And the state will discount it for vets.
