Gunsmithing Anyone bed a manners gen 2 mini chassis?

I’ve bedded the recoil lug in the past and am thinking about trying to bed the entire action into the mini chassis. I know people have done it to mpa and other chassis so wondering if anyone has tried in on a gen 2 from manners. If you have can you please post some pics and some of your process and things you might do or wouldn’t do over again?

Well I went ahead and did it and couldn't be happier. I would have to say that the tape job during the prep work is probably most important. Very happy with how it turned out. Action fits in there like a glove.

Did you rough out the stock, or just bed it as it is?

I have run into a couple actions that needed bedding, but rather than bedding a chassis, i picked up a pillar bedded stock and bedded it. I guess I don't see the point in paying extra for the chassis, just to bed it. I shoot them first. I run down all other possibilities for the accuracy problem. Although after one or two, you can feel if your action interfacing with the chassis properly. On the bad ones I could see the rear tang lift as the front action screw got tight, and I could see and feel the rear screw pulling the rear tang down. both shot the same in a chassis 3 tiny little groups about an inch apart.

I already had the stock with the mini chassis. Knowing what I do know I may have just ordered the stock without it and piller bedded it. My other prs1 stock will not be bedded. This way I can swap out different actions in that stock. I have a terminus Zeus and a bighorn tl3.

I used Marine Tex two part epoxy for the bedding compound. I filled the screw holes and other holes such as bolt stop and trigger pin holes with silly putty.

I dont think the mini chassis should be bedded. Mine shoots great with no mods.

I bedded mine. The barrel was crooked in the channel. 2 barrels later they all have been straight since. I roughed mine up for better adhesion.

i have since removed the 1/4” section in front of the recoil lug. No change in accuracy. My first barrel was a dud. i removed the pad trying to tune harmonics where I could.

As stated, no change and new barrel is a laser.

Couldnt stand the factory paint. Bought the stock off the shelf as not to wait; it was mislabeled as LA/SA with mini-chasis. I called asking why anyone would order a long action stock with short action chassis. Turns out it was a LA/LA as it should have been. I lucked out with no wait.

I just sponged over the existing colors for more variation:
