Suppressors Anyone been to Sig armorer's class?

Re: Anyone been to Sig armorer's class?

Did one recently. It was pretty good. Lots of reps taking apart and putting together. Some diagnostic stuff, but never enough. Sigs are fairly easy, but there a few tricks to make things easier. Armorers are glorified parts-replacers anyway so it definately got you to that level.

How long is the course?

I was just curious. I haven't ever taken a Sig that far apart, but I'd imagine they're much more complicated than single actions or Glocks. It'd be pretty amazing if you could learn all of that in a weekend.

Re: Anyone been to Sig armorer's class?

Its a two day course. Definately more complicated than a Glock. Its about like a 1911, but a lot of the guts resemble Glock guts.

Re: Anyone been to Sig armorer's class?

I hate to be "that guy" but there are few if any Sig parts that look anything like Glock guts. They are two distinctly different systems.

This is a pretty spot on review in my experience too. Lots of taking apart and then puting back together. Still worth going.

Agreed I did the P series back in Dec. was a decent class but went quick. Once ya get the hang of squeezing all the lil parts back in its easy. Would've been nice to learn the tweaking but mostly its what goes where. Just hope wherever you take it doesnt have a dark carpet..those lil springs disappear QUICK then. An remember that things can go in from the top as well as the side. Thought I was gonna go insane with the 229 till i was enlightened bout that.
