Anyone done a bolt knob install on a CZ452?

Whats under the hood? any surprises?

I did the Bolt knob on my Rem70040X myself so I'm thinking of doing the CZ also..

Anyone been there already?

Here's what I did to my 40X..
cut off the end of the original handle.. made a new part using a 1/2" bolt turned on lathe..

Welded the parts together...

A little finish sanding and then Duracoat FDE

Turned out pretty good.

The bolt knob of the 452 is hollow so you will have to weld an extension on for the new knob to clear the scope.

Nope, it's a 40X in an AICS 1.5..

Some of the American bolt knobs are solid, the rest as stated are hollow. I expermented with a one.

Just look at the knob on the CZ.

This one is hollow

Ok, now I'm with you... on the previous mod I did (pictures above) I cut the original knob off and added material that the new knob attached too..
When you fellas talked about it being hollow I was assuming you meant the whole handle..

Now I'll check the end.
