I'm still on the job search and keep seeing more and more "Work From Home, Data Entry" jobs and was wondering if anyone had any experience with these type positions?

I'm Looking for both the good and bad, could use any type of info, thanks!

Re: Anyone done it?

Most of those are a pyramid scheme to get YOU to advertise, somewhere down the line someone licks envelopes and the money flows uphill.

The other part is spam - sending emails.

Most are scams, working from home from a reputable company only happens AFTER you work INSIDE the company for a while.

Re: Anyone done it?

I checked into something similar several years ago. The company basically sells software and training. After that, you're on your own. I contacted several people who had tried them. None were satisfied.

Re: Anyone done it?

It's a growing racket and long been fraught with bogus fees and hoop jumping. The best work from home businesses are the ones that actually provide a service or product that people actually need or want.

In all the years I have been on this rock, I have never seen anyone actually use Amway products, but I damn sure have known several dozen people trying to recruit others to come aboard the recruiting pyramid, er, I mean, ship...yeah...

I listen to a lot of talk radio at work and I tire of the numerous scammy ads for various investment, work at home and snake oil "solutions".

Good luck Creeter, but watch out for opportunities too good to be true.

My buddies wife does medical transcription from home. Everything is on your own time, but of course you have deadlines. It's a lot of work from what I hear, and doesn't pay all that well.

Wow, it is cool working at home, you have your own time management. </div></div>

Former inlaw does this.

Yes you have deadlines - and time management yeah - takes on a whole new life.

I wrote code from home last time for a company in NY, paid $500 a week in 2000. I'm about to pick up some more work from them when I get laid off.

FYI if anyone needs any custom applications I'd be willing to write one.
