Kind of disappointed in the way it looks out of the box, was everyone else’s like this when they got it? If so I guess I’ll just live with it but sheesh, it looks like it’s been through a war:

I got mine from Amazon, and it showed up like this... Apparently spelling matters.
That looks like shit! I’d send it back. I don’t care about cosmetics on my tools or whatever they are but I’m the one that gets to to the wear and tear. Not on brand new stuff that hasn’t even been used by me.
Mine was not riveted together. It was pretty much all one piece except the part that holds the brass, it is welded.
my question is where did you buy that from?
that does not look like any of the machines ive seen.
I believe gen 2 units are riveted. The pic on their website matches the basic construction visually of what I received.
Now in cherry flavor!
Sorry OP, couldn't help myself. Everytime I see the name of that annealer i think I read it wrong. I'd send that back, looks like a used repair unit to me.
id contact him and see what he says...$275 for a banged up machine is not cool.
I mean, I’m pretty sure he named it this on purpose to be funny. Their motto is “for a hot piece of brass” and their logo looks like a little fire gremlin with a piece of brass shoved up its Ass so... ?
I dont own one, I went full retard and went for the AMP straight out of the gate. But I have seen videos of them in use and they don't look that bad. I used to think "oh well as long as it works" and then one day I realized we pay good money for this stuff, it should be in good shape when we get it. I really just came here for what I though was gonna be buttsex to be honest. But seriously, cherry flavored, who's gonna lick a butthole after putting some goop on it, eeeww.
They’re going to swap it out for me, as long as it’s made right that’s all that matters. Their response was way faster than I had expected.

I totally understand, my wife thinks my AMP costs " a couple hundred bucks" she'll probably sell it for that much when I die, so keep your eye out. Good news on the replacement. Not having to deal with springback is worth owning any annealer in my opinion.

I noticed a bit of that on the one I recently received. I'm assuming this was just a bit of pitting from the laser cutting. No impact to operation or performance.
