Anyone ever hear of a short barreled rifle that is bolt action? I want to see one.
I may have to do this myself just for fun. I have a ruger 77 with a 16 inch barrel but was wandering about going shorter, maybe 12 inches with the right caliber.
I think of this because I LOVE my ar15 sbr.

There might be some legal issues going below 16 inches.
The shorter you go the more velocity you lose.

A legal SBR
a small center fire round. maybe .222 for the lower case capacity
Threaded for a suppressor
a range toy and or experiment.
tailor made hand loads for it
and probably a faster burning powder for a more complete powder burn behind the bullet and less fouling.
Anyone?
It seems stupid but I found great performance from the ar15 SBR.
