Read the instruction sheet for the first time (I've done 7 transfers without a hitch). Under the paperwork reduction act notice they state an estimated average burden associated with the collection of information required to complete the form. I am kind of curious about this statement in a number of ways. First is that statement to include the completion of the all the work associated with the examiner to complete the Form 4 approval process start to finish? I also find it interesting that equates to $50/hr ($200 stamp for four hours of work).

4 month wait for a four hour job..... That sucks.

As with all government documents with the paperwork reduction act notice it is referring to the burden of time taken to fill in the blanks on the form(prints, mugshot, CLEO, mail, cert forms etc), it doesn't refer to at all the time to process, update systems, do your investigation, confer with legal etc.

The Govt requirements are not published.

Not many people read the Forms they sign, before my signature goes on anything I read it, especially a government form!

Thanks for the reply. I have always just received just the two form 4's. Yesterday was the first time (from a new FFL) I received all three pages and they were attached. I did completely read the Form 4 and I was briefed on the form before I completed my first one, the reduction act notice was not on the Form 4 itself.

I waited 2 months for my first 2 Cans, and exaclty 30 days for my SBR. This time frame is from my dated signature to when it was approved. These were all done this year. Im happy with paying them $200 for a months wait

How are you getting those results, its taking 2-3 months to get a Form3 approved and everyone else is waiting 5-7 months for the transfer.

    Who is your examiner?

Was it a individual, trust, llc, corp etc?

    Form1 or Form4?

The times listed are when I mailed my Form 4 off to ATF after my dealer got my products in hand. Everything was done on a trust. As far as my wait time... Its all who you know in certain places

That is why mine are taking close to 7 months.

So apparently you know somebody in the NFA branch or even one of the examiners? Care to explain...
