Rifle Scopes anyone ever tried these?

Re: anyone ever tried these?

I would assume, since it links to the page of turret caps, that he is referring to those.

No, I have never used them. They have been in business for a while, so someone is buying them.

I believe that you can get them set up for a specific B.C./velocity combo.

Re: anyone ever tried these?

just ordered a lr yardage for my zeiss diavari. they will custom make them for your caliber, bullet, fps, altitude and temp.

90 bucks.

Yardage format: L.R. HUNTER

L.R. HUNTER format allows up to 54 inches (216 clicks) of displayed 50/100 Yard increments for true long range shooting.
Calibrated out to 1000 yds for magnum cartridges and up to 800 yards for standard cartridges.

Available for Zeiss Conquest, Diavari, & Victory scopes equipped with factory target knobs.

Riflescopes with dust cap covered elevation/widndage must be sent to Zeiss U.S.A. for target knob retrofit.
Type in the word "retrofit" under the scope model section for order forms TTC #2 or #3.

Sample knob:
Rifle sighted in at 100 yards. 100 yard zero (0) to 1200 yds.

Well, they can't, of course. You have to do that yourself.

A BDC turret is great as long as you're not shooting past 600 yards.

Beyond that range, you'll have to take the atmospheric conditions into account, as well as how much your muzzle velocity changes with temperature.

Which is why I consider them a waste of money. Just memorize your dope for 600 yards and less - it's just 5 numbers, after all - and then figure out a system for calculating your settings beyond that distance.

I'm fond of a tiny dope card taped inside my rear lens cover, but there are many ways to skin that cat.

OTOH, the economy is in a recession, and if people want to spend their money on shooting equipment, I'm all in favor of that. I'll spend mine on ammo and training.

Re: anyone ever tried these?

i gave them the data for my 6br. bullet, velocity, avg. temp, elevation and such. my main reason for the purchase was the zeiss turrets are .05 cm per 100m. all in metric. 8 mils will will get me to a 1000k and 4 mils to 600 yards from damn near sea level at pendleton/pala to 4k' in the high desert.

i also have /use 3 dope cards for pendleton / pala, 2500' and 4000'

just wanted to do away with the metric.

Re: anyone ever tried these?

+ 1 with what Lindy says, I had some that came on a used S&B found them of little value at extended range especially, changed them out.

Re: anyone ever tried these?

Sorry - I'm not taking that bait. If you want to think those turrets were metric, go right ahead.

I also love my scope dope card. Works great and goes everywhere the gun does.
