Just picked up my first 30-30. Was tinkering with some different powder and got to wondering if this powder worked so well in the 308 why not the 30-30. Looks like a 30-30 case could hold about 37-39 grains of this stuff with a 150 bullet.
No alliant data but I have emailed them to see if it has been tested.

Actually the 30-30 likes most all the powders that are great for the 308. 3031,748,re15,varget,4895's all seem to come up as really popular for the 30-30. The reason I started to think about mr2000 is that the listed loads for Hogdons Leverevolution powder are quite heavy. I think the load for 150's is 38.5 and that puts it right in there with capacity with mr2000. I played quite a bit with mr2000 when it came out in 308 and 3006 and found it does act wierd depending on the case. Seems like it acted almost like re17 when in the 308 but more like re15 when in the 30-06. So maybe best to leave the case specific powder out of the equations....but I do have to wonder if the lever powder and mr2000 might not be very close to one another.
